Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about HostedMe and the Add-Ins. Click on a question to see the answer. If you don’t see the answer to your question here please use the contact form and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • My panel on my site says "This page cannot be displayed on this domain."
    Your panels can only be used on the domain you set in your account details. This must be the 'Real' domain that your site is on. For example: if you are hosted on Serif Hosting and your domain name is diverted to your webspace either by framed diversion or html diversion, then you should enter your webplus domain in your account settings.
    e.g. If your domain name is yoursite.co.uk and your domain is diverted to yoursite.webplus.net then you should enter yoursite.webplus.net as the domain name in your account settings.
    Your domain name in account settings should not include the http:// or the www just the actual domain name e.g. yoursite.co.uk.
  • My panel on my site says "No Account found for the details submitted."
    Check the code you have pasted to your site, it should have a long series of letters and numbers in the URL. Go to your My Services Page on HostedMe.co.uk, select configure your panel, and get the code again. Re-paste the code. If it still doesn't work contact support via the contact page.
    If your subscription for the relevant panel has expired, you will also get this message.
  • Can I have more than one panel of the same type on my account?
    At the current time you can only have one panel of each type on any single account. Development is underway to allow more than one, but for now you will need to open a new account with a different email address to get 2 panels of the same type.
  • What happens if there is not enough credit in my PayPal account when my subscription payment is due?
    If when your payment is due to be taken your PayPal balance is insufficient, or your credit card could not be authorised, you are given a 7 day grace period before your panels will stop working. PayPal will inform you that the payment could not be made and will attempt to take the payment again about 5 days after the failed attempt, so you should make sure there is sufficient funds in your account before the second request. After a second failure your panels will be suspended.
  • Does HostedMe receive my credit card or financial details about my PayPal account?
    No. PayPal does not share any financial information with HostedMe, only your Name and Address and the payment amount and whether or not it was successful. PayPal is the safest way to pay, knowing that your financial details are never shared.
  • I want to cancel a panel or panels how do I do it?
    You can either log-in to your PayPal account, go to the recurring payments section and select the relevant subscriptions (each panel will be clearly identified), and cancel the relevant one(s). We would appreciate an email or contact via the contact form if you do cancel a panel.
    Your panel will continue to be active until your current subscription payment expires.
    or you can contact us via the contact form with your contact details, account number, domain name and the panel(s) you wish to cancel and we will process the cancellation for you.
